Best London brunch spots for all occasions
Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a brunch? Brunches are an ideal catch up with friends, family or spent relaxing with your partner. I personally love a brunch and am often asked where my favourite places to brunch or lunch are. It’s no surprise I’m a foodie and with my dietary requirements (gluten and dairy free) everyone knows if I can eat there – EVERYONE can…
So, I set myself the very enjoyable task of eating my way round London’s best brunch spots to find the best brunch spot for each occasion – so you can ensure your next brunch is a good one no matter who you’re going with and what the occasion is!
London’s best BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH: Restaurant Ours
Restaurant Ours is situated in Knightsbridge and has a gorgeous tropical vibe to it. It’s the perfect location for a birthday brunch with your friends or a couple of cocktails with your partner.
It has feature walls all around and gorgeous plants hanging from every place imaginable which makes it the ultimate instagram-able restaurant.
The food:
The food is ideal whether you want something healthy or not. In my opinion go with not! I went half and half I started my meal with the açai, banana and granola bowl (£8.50) – who doesn’t love a açai bowl to begin with and this one ticks all the boxes. It’s a frozen sorbet filled with granola, berries, banana served in a gorgeous glass dish which has a fine dining feel.
I stayed healthy for my main with the Greek Prawn Salad (£18.00) which was nice however my partner Josh opted for The Proper Burger (£16.50) which came filled with onion rings, jalapeño mayo and much more. I’m not going to lie I had food envy…
The desserts really were the ultimate game changer though. They have options for everything I chose the Vegan Banana Split (£9.20) (Pictured at the top with Vicky) and this was absolutely incredible. It was made of coconut nut ice cream and raspberry sorbet and tasted so fresh and delicious. Josh opted for the Salted Caramel and Snickers Sunday Cup (below) which he claims left him “Mind-Blown”! – I think we can all see why…
Overall review: this is the restaurant you need to try! But don’t go here trying to be healthy you’ll have way more fun being a little naughty! P.S make sure you save room for their cocktails – they are not to be missed.
Price Point: ££ – Not cheap yet not mega pricey – but DEFINITELY worth the cost!
London’s best HEALTHIEST BRUNCH: Terra Terra
Terra Terra is a fabulous healthy option for those on a diet or trying to look after their health. The food is exceptionally fresh and organic.
Everything is made fresh from order so it may take a little bit longer to arrive so you know you’re getting it made fresh.
The food
Until 12pm they offer all of the dreamy, typical brunch options you can imagine: eggs, avocado, coconut yoghurt, smoothies and more.
We arrived at 2pm so chose from the lunch menu. Keeping with the natural, organic feel of the restaurant I chose the Tuna crudo and sapphire and lemon small plate (£11.00). The dish was packed full of flavour and was nice and light to keep room for our main.
For the main course I opted for the Smoked Salmon Salad (£11.00). The salad again tasted extremely fresh with thinly cut smoked salmon. I partnered my main with the French Fries with Parmesan and Rosemary Salt (£4.50), I of course removed the Parmesan due to my dairy allergy and was thrilled to see how easy it was to do so thanks to the chef.
We finished the meal sharing the Pink Grapefruit and Red Peach Sorbet (£5.00) which was made with no added sugar so had a very pallet cleansing taste with a sweet yet bitter kick.
Overall I really enjoyed my afternoon at Terra Terra, the food tasted very high quality and the staff and atmosphere were exceptionally catering.
Price point: £ – Affordable! Most of the options are very affordable a couple of the small plates such as the tuna are a little pricier but this is due to the high quality ingredients used.
